About Me

In 1997 I joined Darwin Golf Club and am a regular competition player. I have also competed in the NT Women’s Open, the Arafura Games, the Masters Games and interclub pennants. I hold a Club Level Rules Accreditation Course certificate.
From 2003 to 2005 I was the elected Vice President of Women’s Golf Northern Territory District and became President in 2005 upon the resignation of the previous president. I was elected to that role in 2006 and led the organisation until the formation of Golf NT. During that time I was responsible for assisting in the process of amalgamation, including the amicable disaffiliation with Women’s Golf South Australia and in the drawing up of the constitution for Golf NT.  From 2004 to 2006 I was also the President of the Northern Territory Senior Women Golfers’ Association.

About Me

My sporting background is in football (soccer). I played at various levels from about 1991 to 2000. I was heavily involved in the administration of my club and was Secretary for three years.

In 2001 I took up golf socially and in 2003 I joined Palmerston Golf and Country Club. In 2005 I was asked to apply for the vacant position of Secretary of the NT Golf Association, and was part of the team that worked through the amalgamation of the men's and women's golfing bodies.

In 2006 a new amalgamated body for golf in the NT was formed. I have held the position of Secretary since the inception of Golf NT and was also appointed Public Officer for the association. My current handicap is 18 but I would like to be a single figure player within the next few years.
